Ancient architectural rosette from the Arch of Constantine.

These fine engravings depict decorative architectural elements from the buildings and monuments of Ancient Rome and surrounding towns. The floral carvings are shown full front and also in cross section. Because of bits of paint which, upon close inspection, were detected on the original structures, it was deduced that they had once been brightly colored.
